Both the Twentynine Palms Water District and fire department meetings will be held tonight. The water district meeting begins at 6 p.m. with a public hearing on the proposed water rate increases; a board vote is expected immediately following the hearing. A vote on pay meter station rates will follow, as will public comment and regular reports. The fire department meeting will follow a brief break. That agenda has no action items. It all happens at the District Offices on the south side of Hatch Road in Twentynine Palms.
