TWENTYNINE PALMS WATER DISTRICT LOOKING FOR APPOINTEE TO BOARD

0

At yesterday’s special meeting of the Twentynine Palms Water District, the four remaining board members voted to fill by appointment the open seat left by the resignation of Chancy Chambers. The district will post a notice of vacancy and call for interested candidates to submit a letter of interest and resume to the district by 5 p.m. September 2. Directors expect to name the new board member at a special meeting on September 7. Chambers resigned last month citing professional obligations outside Morongo Basin that conflict with the district’s meeting schedule. Chambers’ replacement will hold the seat through the term which ends November 2017.
