In addition to electing new board members, at tomorrow’s meeting the water district board will review and adopt a policy authorizing annual investments, consider the establishment of an opt out policy for the city’s automated meter program, review a new rate study proposal by city contractor NBS, consider amendments to the water service standards to meet statewide shut-off mandates, and review recommended changes to the schedule of fees from the ad hoc committee formed in 2019. These items will be followed by a report from the general manager as well as standard reports on maintenance, water quality, and finance. The meeting takes place on Wednesday, January 22 at 4 p.m. at the district offices at 72401 Hatch Road in Twentynine Palms.
