The Twentynine Palms Water District has closed its lobby to customers effective today (Tuesday, March 17). Water bills may be paid through the mail, online or through a drop box in front of the water district; staff will also be available to take payments over the phone. The Hi-Desert Water District, which reopened its office Tuesday morning, announced at 12:05 that it has closed its offices to the public until further notice. In addition, its office hours have been changed from 7:30 to 4, Monday through Thursday. Customers are encouraged to use alternate means of contact, such as via telephone at 760-365-8333 , online at hdwd.com, through its website, or U.S. mail.
