The Twentynine Palms Water District, and then the Fire District board, will hold their regular monthly meetings tonight. Reporter Mike Lipsitz has some of the details …
Both the Twentynine Palms Water District and fire department meetings are tonight. Water begins at 6 p.m. and opens with public comments followed by the likely approval of a contract renewal with an accounting and financial services firm, a proposal to seek bids from competing auditors, and a presentation from a consultant hired to update the district’s emergency response plan. Also tonight, the board will likely adopt an annual statement of investment policy under the guidelines of the state legislature. And on the fire department agenda is a proposed renewal agreement for use of the department’s property by the county registrar of voters. It all happens at the district office on the south side of Hatch Road in Twentynine Palms.
