Items of interest for this week’s meeting of the Twentynine Palms Water District board of directors includes discussions on setting up a separate trust and contributing funds to it to pre-fund their California Public Employees’ Retirement System obligations and appointing the general manager as planner for the trust. The board will also review the environmental report and bids for the drilling of a new district well and discuss the cost of the upcoming Twentynine Palms water board election in November. The meeting will take place at 4 p.m. at their district offices, 72401 Hatch Road in Twentynine Palms.
