Candidate filing is underway for the August 29, 2017 Consolidated Mail Ballot Election and will continue through 5 p.m. Friday, June 2. In Morongo Basin only a single special district will appear on the ballot. Three seats are up for contest at the Twentynine Palms Water District Board of Directors. Each seat carries a four-year term. Only registered voters who reside within the Twentynine Palms Water District are eligible to enter this race. Anyone considering candidacy may obtain and file the requisite filing documents during regular office hours at the San Bernardino County Elections Office on East Rialto Avenue in San Bernardino, or closer to home, at the Twentynine Palms Water District office at 72401 Hatch Road in Twentynine Palms.
