TWENTYNINE PALMS VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO BANNING

The Twentynine Palms High School volleyball teams traveled to Banning for their first league match.

The varsity Ladycats fought hard, but came up short to the Banning Broncos in four sets; 25-14,15-25, 24-26, 23-25.

Coach Melissa McGivern said sophomore Gianna Bilderain had one kill for the night. Sophomore Mya Chacon served up three ace serves. Junior Journey Platzke had four assists and five kills. Senior Riley King had five kills and one block. Senior Amanda Mohn had two ace serves, two blocks, five kills, and 12 assists. Senior Jhordan Stanley had nine kills. The Ladycats play at home on Thursday against Coachella Valley.
The junior varsity volleyball team beat the Broncos in three sets; 25-22, 20-25, 15-12. 

Bella Salicdo had one ace serve, Itzel Solorio and Gabby Wunderlee each had one ace serve and one kill. Leah Engesser had two kills. N’Taiya served up two aces and one kill. Dixie Saunders had three ace serves. Zemira Mosqueda had two assists, three ace serves and four kills.
