The Fall Art in Public Places exhibition at Twentynine Palms Visitor Center & Gallery will be held from October 2 to January 7 at 73484 Twentynine Palms Highway in Twentynine Palms. Artists must deliver submitted artwork to the visitor center on Intake day Friday, October 1, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Artists can arrange an earlier day or time by calling (760)358-6324. The exhibition opening is Saturday, October 2, from 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. The Visitor Center will take COVID precautions.
The show theme for the Fall Art in Public Places exhibition at the Twentynine Palms Visitor Center & Gallery is “Clouds Rolling In.” Artwork, painting, photography, sculpture, or mixed media must be ready to hang with professional wire or mounted on a pedestal and priced.
The opening is Saturday, October 2, with light hospitality, at the visitor center between 9 am and 2 pm. The visitor Center will take Covid precautions.
In addition to the above exhibition, Art in Public Places will spotlight historical Mural #13, Flash Flood, by artist Art Mortimer (1998), painted on the north wall of Arteaga’s Mexican Food at 6244 Adobe Road.
Art in Public Places exhibitions are presented quarterly by the Public Arts Advisory Committee (PAAC) of Twentynine Palms. The city Visitor Center & Gallery is open Monday through Friday, 10 am to 4 pm, and Saturday-Sunday, 9 am to 2 pm, at 73484 29 Palms Highway at the corner of Desert Queen Avenue in downtown Twentynine Palms.
