TWENTYNINE PALMS UNITED METHODIST OBSERVE WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH SUNDAY

0

The United Methodist Women of Twentynine Palms will observe Women’s History Month this Sunday, March 19. In celebration of local women, guest speaker, historian and author Pat Rimmington will present a talk on “Pioneering Women of the Desert.” Rimmington volunteered to transcribe oral interviews of the homesteaders, cowboys, and miners of the area for the Twentynine Palms Library and Joshua Tree National Park. This research gave her an extensive knowledge of local desert history. She will share this information beginning at 10:30 Sunday morning at the United Methodist Church on 6250 Mesquite Springs Road. Community members are welcome to join them for this informative, fun presentation.
