TWENTYNINE PALMS TRACK TEAM BRINGS HOME 3 TITLES

Twentynine Palms High School track and field traveled to league prelims in Banning to compete in 25mph winds and brought home three Desert Valley League Titles.  

Tynea Terrell-Davis threw 101’6″ in the discus to take first place.  Adam Mapuatuli threw for double gold, starting with a 49’3.5″ throw in the shot put, and a personal record in the discus with a throw 157’01”.

Other all-league performers were:  Mallory Hutchinson who earned third place in the high jump and second place in the long jump and advances to CIF.  Jonathan Carson, who took second place in the long jump with a 19’10”, also advances to CIF.

Johnnie Smith advances from the preliminary round to the 400m final and Courtney Ogle advances to the 100m girls final on Thursday.
