Tomorrow, Thursday, February 24, the Twentynine Palms Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID) will meet at City Hall to discuss several issues.

The meeting begins with a presentation and update from the Downtown Business Association (DBA) regarding “Party at the Plaza” event planning. The local business organization has been meeting bi-monthly to brainstorm, plan and garner momentum for various events throughout the year at the new Project Phoenix location which will officially open on March 12.

The TBID will review plans for a Full Moon Cultural Series at Sky’s The Limit Observatory and Nature Center over the summer months that will celebrate our night skies.

The meeting will also include an ongoing review of TBID’s ‘Visit 29 Palms” marketing efforts, including plans for video content and summer billboard campaign opportunities in the Inland Empire.

The new Joshua Tree National Park Visitor and Cultural Center is scheduled to open in the spring and TBID will discuss the continuing operation of the 29 Palms Visitor Center and details of the eventual move.

The meeting begins at 3:30 p.m. at City Hall, 6136 Adobe Road, in downtown Twentynine Palms.
