Memorial Day is a day to honor the sacrifices those in the military have made to serve and protect our nation. While residents can’t gather together this year to remember their sacrifices, the City of Twentynine Palms is providing the community a way to participate online. Morongo Basin residents are urged to make Memorial Day crafts and display them on their front doors to be enjoyed by all.
In addition, send a photo of those you will be remembering on Memorial Day to the City of Twentynine Palms. The city will include the photos in its virtual Memorial Day tribute on Monday, May 25. The tribute can be viewed on the city’s website at 29palms.org. Photos must be submitted by May 18 to [email protected]. Please include the service member’s name, branch of service, and year entering and leaving the military.
