TWENTYNINE PALMS TENNIS TEAMS DEFEAT INDIO

The Twentynine Palms High School boys’ and girls’ varsity tennis teams traveled to Indio to face the Rajahs Monday (April 19). The Wildcat boys beat the Rajahs 7 to 0 while the Ladycats beat the Rajahs 7 to 2. Coach Bill Shay said the Wildcat boys and the Ladycats are both now at 7 and 1.   

In boys’ doubles action, the Wildcat boys’ double teams of Troy Silva/Nhan Nguyen and Jonray Mendoza/Daniel Hunyh won their doubles matches. 

Wildcats boys Troy Silva, Nhan Nguyen, Jonray Mendoza, Daniel Hunyh, and Brayden Chambers each won their singles match.

In girls’ doubles action, the Ladycat double teams of Mariah Bannerjje/Madi Soster, Danesa Rife/Isabel Plummer, and Anaid Montero/Makenna Whitfield each won their  doubles match. 

In singles action, Makenna Whitfield, Anaid Montero, Danesa Rife, and Carly Bateman each won their singles game.
