TWENTYNINE PALMS TARGET FLUSHED OUT WITH PEPPER SPRAY

A Twentynine Palms man was arrested and sprayed with pepper spray after he failed to come out of his hiding spot in an attic. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies went to a home in the 6400 block of Mesquite Avenue about 4 p.m. to follow up a report that a man with warrants for his arrest, identified as Joseph Gonzales, 24, was at the home. The deputy determined that Gonzales was hiding in the attic and ignored the deputy’s orders to come out. The deputy then sprayed pepper spray into the attic and Joseph Gonzales finally emerged, at which time he was arrested for investigation of resisting arrest and for his warrants for resisting arrest, failure to appear in court, and violating the terms of his probation. Gonzales was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $25,000.
