TWENTYNINE PALMS SWIM TEAMS COMPETES AT CIF MEET

The Twentynine Palms High School swim team traveled to Riverside to swim four races at the CIF championship meet and improved all their times.

The Wildcats started with the girls’ 200-yard medley relay team of Taylor Scamman, Hailey Beck, Jaqueline Ford and Madi Soster placing 22nd with a time of 2:08.45.

Will Kinitz was the next swimmer to dive in the pool for the boys’ 200-yard individual medley, placing 23rd with a time of 2:14.70.

The girls’ team of Madi Soster, Mary Carbierner, Patricia Zuniga and Taylor Scamman placed 19th out of 36 teams in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:51.86.

The last race of the day for the Wildcats was the girls’ 100-yard backstroke, Taylor Scamman placed 22nd with a time of 1:07.71.
