The Twentynine Palms High School swim team won and added four CIF Times when they hosted Desert Mirage High School at Luckie Park yesterday (April 28). The Wildcats won 68-38 for the girls, and 92-40 for the boys. Individuals who place first through fifth, and relays that place first through third, receive points for the team.
The girls added one CIF time, lowered one CIF time and had seven first-place finishes.
Izzy Pryor bettered her CIF time in the 200-yard individual medley.
Pez Zuniga sprinted in the 50-yard free style to obtain her CIF time.
Other swimmers who took first-place finish were:
200-yard medley relay: Pez Zuniga, Destiny Cisneros, Izzy Pryor and Nadia Moreno.
Izzy Pryor in the 100-yard butterfly and Pez Zuniga in the 100-yard free style.
Destiney Cisneros in the 500-yard free style.
200-yard free relay: Izzy Pryor, Destiny Cisneros, Nadia Moreno and Pez Zuniga.
The boys added three CIF times, lowered one CIF time and had 10 of 11 first-place finishes.
Aiden Sullivan lowered his 50-yard free style CIF time and broke this record set by him in 2019. He also qualified CIF in the 100-yard free style.
Colton Charles finished with a CIF time in the 500-yard free style.
Daviahn Thrasher qualified his CIF time in the 100-yard back stroke.
