A man in Twentynine Palms was arrested this weekend for investigation into domestic assault and throwing acid into a woman’s face.
At approximately 4:45 p.m. on Friday (August 30), a woman dialed 911 to report that her daughter’s boyfriend threw bleach into the daughter’s face. Medics and Sheriff’s deputies responded to the home in the 6000 block of La Luna Ave in Twentynine Palms. While the victim was treated for injuries to her face, deputies identified the suspect as John Flores, 36. The victim’s mother told deputies that Flores had been staying at the home for about a week, and stole a purse a few days before. The mother told deputies that Flores and the victim got into an argument, during which Flores got upset and threw bleach into the victim’s face.
John Flores was arrested for inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or date and assault, throwing acid, and is currently being held at the West Valley Detention Center on $50,000 bail.
