A three-day strategic planning workshop for the City of Twentynine Palms kicks off tonight with an introduction and discussion of community safety issues involving police, fire and animal control. Later, City Council members will hear reports on community facilities and infrastructure from the city’s park superintendent, public works supervisor and water district.
Future meetings will cover such issues as economic development, medical care and livability, youth, education and recreation.
Tonight’s meeting, which is open to the public, begins at 5 p.m. in the Council Chambers on Adobe Road.
