A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Thursday afternoon, accusing of punching his wife. According to a Sheriff’s report, on Monday, Joshua Myers, 30, woke his wife about 12:30 a.m., asked her where she’d been, and started kicking and punching her over her body. His wife left their residence in the 7600 block of North Star Avenue and returned about 11 p.m. Tuesday night. The report states when she walked in the house, Myers again began arguing with her in front of their young children, and then punched her multiple times. The woman ran into the living room and grabbed a vacuum cleaner she used to defend herself. After an investigation, the deputy determined that the woman’s bruises and lacerations were consistent with her claims, and Joshua Myers was arrested on suspicion of felony spouse abuse and on a warrant for violating the terms of his probation for an assault in 2013.
