Area residents and business owners are invited to spruce up Twentynine Palms by cleaning trash and debris from their yards and properties tomorrow. Volunteers from area churches will also be cleaning up an area of downtown from the highway at Split Rock Avenue to El Paseo Drive Saturday. Residents are encouraged to recycle cans, bottles, paper and plastic this week. For those who don’t have curbside recycling, recycling bins are available in front of the city’s public works building at 6994 Bullion Avenue, off Sullivan Road, in Twentynine Palms.
