Twentynine Palms High School’s track team sent six Wildcats to Azusa Pacific University to compete in the Meet of Champions.
Four students earned personal records and two earned season records in the 1200 meters, there were 3 standout performances:
- Sophomore, William Sumption, who ran a 5:12.14 a personal record by 26.06 seconds.
- Sophomore Ava Aja also ran a personal record with a time of 6:59.86, besting her previous by 24.89 seconds.
- Senior Captain Elisabeth Marshal earned a medal with a time of 6:14.64, beating her previous best by 10.46 seconds.
Ava Aja and William Sumption were chosen as Wildcats of the Week for their efforts.
On Thursday the Wildcats will travel to Desert Mirage for a DVL dual.
