Eleven groups and organizations, including the Twentynine Palms Historical Society, The Marine Base Boy Scout Troop 78, two troops from Twentynine Palms Boy Scout Troop 229, and the Twentynine Palms High School Interact Club took part in the Rotary Club’s successful community cleanup day. “Trash Teams” spent three hours collecting trash from throughout the city, which was then collected at community dumpsters at the Luckie Park Activity Center. The Rotary club gave $200 checks to each of the 11 teams, allowing them to finance their cleanup efforts.
