The Rotary Club of Twentynine Palms, the City of Twentynine Palms, and Burrtec Trash and Recycling are teaming up to make this year’s 2021 spring community clean-up event even more effective. The event is set for 7 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday, May 1.
Burrtec will set up large roll-off dumpsters behind the Community Services Building on Joe Davis Drive. Residents are encouraged to bring trash and yard waste there for disposal at no charge. (No tires or household hazardous waste will be allowed).
To enhance the cleanup city-wide, the Rotary Club will make donations to participating youth groups, sports teams, and non-profits to go out to areas that need attention and pick up the unwanted trash. Each “Rotary Trash Team” will leave the full trash bags at a predetermined drop-off site. Rotarians will pick up the trash bags. The Rotary Club is asking residents to identify what areas they think need attention. If you see an area in the city limits that needs clean up, send an e-mail identifying the neighborhood area to Gary Daigneault. Sports teams can contact Dan Mintz. Twentynine Palms based service organizations and non-profits can also apply to participate.
