With the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Twentynine Palms Rotary Club recently conducted a formal induction of its 2020-21 officers and board of directors.

The informal event was held at the home of Rotarian Sandy Smith with Past-President Gary Daigneault conducting the ceremonies and social distancing protocols in place.

Installed as the Executive Board were President David Smith, President-Elect Joe Ruddon, Vice President and President Elect for 2022-23 Dan Mintz, Secretary Liz Myer, Treasurer Sandy Smith, and Past-President Frank Luckino.

Rounding out the board were Community Service Director Gary Daigneault, International Service director Lee Baillie, Youth Service Director Randy Councell, and John Cole and Vala Stults as members at large.

The 29 Palms Rotary Club, part of Rotary International normally meets Wednesday at noon at the Little Church of the Desert meeting room. For safety during the pandemic, the club has been holding meetings via Zoom and socially distanced at alternative locations.
