During the summer is when kids are free but parents are still working, the solution is the Summer Day Camp of Twentynine Palms. The program is available to children who will be entering first through sixth grades in the fall. There are a total of five 2-week sessions offered. The camp begins on Monday, June 24, and concludes on Friday, August 23. Hours are from 7:00 to 5:15 p.m. Monday through Friday. Participants may sign up for individual sessions or for the entire summer. Activities include bowling, swimming, summer reading program at the local library, sports, contests, arts, crafts and more! Participants will receive a camp T-shirt and a pizza party at the end of each session. Space is limited. For more information, call the recreation office at 760-367-7562.
