TWENTYNINE PALMS PLANNING COMMISSION TO MULL REQUEST FOR LIQUOR LICENSE

The Twentynine Palms Planning Commission meets in regular session tonight. Reporter Dan Stork says a new liquor license and continued review of the development code is on the agenda…
The Twentynine Palms Planning Commission is holding a special meeting on July 31, the fifth Tuesday of this month, with two items on the agenda. Fouad H. Marouf of “Marouf Gino’s Café Deli” is requesting to sell alcoholic beverages within his proposed restaurant at 73501 Twentynine Palms Highway. This area is considered “unduly concentrated” with alcohol sales businesses and before he may begin such sales he needs Council approval of a Letter of Public Convenience and Necessity (LPCN). After that, the Commission will continue with its review of the City’s Development Code in a study session. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. at City Hall on Adobe Road.
