Tonight, the Twentynine Palms Planning Commission will gather to review, discuss and likely file the Morongo Basin Active Transportation Plan. Funded by the Southern California Association of Governments through their Sustainable Planning Grant Program, the Plan covers the entire Morongo Basin Area.

The Plan includes a detailed history of the planning process and a review of existing policies, land use, transit connectivity, pedestrian/bicycle infrastructure and collision analysis. Looking forward, the Plan offers recommended solutions and implementation strategies to improve transportation in the Morongo Basin.

The meeting begins at 5 p.m. at City Hall on Adobe Road in Twentynine Palms.
