This evening (Tuesday, April 20), the Twentynine Palms Planning Commission will gather to review two agenda items. There will be a public hearing regarding the site plan and design review for the construction of Grocery Outlet, a 16,000-square foot grocery store that will be located at the northwest corner of Twentynine Palms Highway and Encelia Avenue, directly across from Stater Bros.
Next, the commission will conduct a public hearing and consider an application for appeal of a possible vacation home rental (VHR) at 73010 Manana Drive. The homeowner has applied for VHR permit #168 but an appeal has been filed by the next-door neighbors who fear what questionable elements a VHR could bring to their neighborhood.
The meeting begins at 5 p.m. at City Hall, 6136 Adobe Road, and can be viewed on-demand on the city’s website, 29palms.org. Residents can also livestream the event from the site.
