TWENTYNINE PALMS PLANNING COMMISSION MERGES PROJECT PHOENIX PARCELS

The Twentynine Palms Planning Commission met last night to address the merging of land parcels for Project Phoenix. Reporter Heather Clisby was there…

Last night, the Twentynine Palms Planning Commission gathered briefly to review a merged-parcel map for Project Phoenix. The 5.5-acre-project includes 33 parcels south of Hwy 62 and north of Cactus Drive between Tamarisk and Cholla Avenues.

The plans also include a right-of-way dedication of .33 acres for the widening and improvements of Cholla, Smoketree, Yucca, and Tamarisk Avenues. The streets are currently at 50-foot right-of-way widths in most areas, and the plan will expand them to 60-foot right-of-ways.

The Twentynine Palms Planning Commission will meet again on July 2.
