The Twentynine Palms Planning Commission will begin its meeting at 6 p.m. tonight with a public hearing on a proposed new Verizon Wireless cell tower aimed at improving coverage in its immediate area. The 60-foot tower, to be surrounded by an 8-foot chain link fence, would be on Adobe Road.
In other business, the commission will consider granting a six-month extension to a homeowner to bring his Chia Avenue property into compliance with the city’s development code.
The meeting will be held at City Council chambers on Adobe Road.
