Two public hearings on potential amendments to the Development Code, and a study session on vehicle tow yard screening comprise the agenda of the Twentynine Palms Planning Commission. Reporter Dan Stork has details…
The March 19 meeting of the Twentynine Palms Planning Commission features two public hearings on proposed amendments to the City’s Development Code. One would allow the Development Director to approve time extensions for previously approved Tentative Tract Maps. The other would allow a single City Council member to initiate an appeal of a Planning Commission decision. Currently, the Code requires a majority of Council members for this action. Then the Commission will have a study session to take up a matter requested by the City Council — a review of all sections of the City Code that might treat the screening from view of vehicle tow yards. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. in City Hall on Adobe Road.
