In 2009, the Twentynine Palms City Council outlawed medical marijuana dispensaries in the city. Reporter Dan Stork says that this week the Planning Commission will work to close a perceived loophole in that ordinance…
The Twentynine Palms Planning Commission will work on the wording of a 2009 amendment to the City’s Development Code that outlawed medical marijuana dispensaries. Proposed new language will expand the definition of dispensaries to include mobile dispensaries. In addition to hearing a status report by the Development Director on workload and projects, the Commission will consider the scheduling of future public hearings on vacation home rentals, community trails, and mobile homes and special occupancy parks. The Commission meets at 6 p.m. September 30 in City Hall on Adobe Road.
