The Twentynine Palms Planning Commission meets in regular session tonight. Reporter David Haldane says the biggest thing on the agenda is not very big at all…
Little houses, anyone? The Twentynine Palms Planning Commission meets tonight to hold a public hearing on just that: a proposal to build two complexes, each containing four casitas, on two separate half-acre lots.
Casita is the Spanish word for small house.
These particular small houses, proposed by Western Home Builders Development, would each contain a bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and one-car garage covering about 900 square feet.
Both projects are located on the southwest side of National Park Drive, east of Mesquite Drive and west of Inn Avenue. Tonight’s meeting gets underway 6 p.m. at City Hall on Adobe Road.
