This evening, the Twentynine Palms Planning Commission will meet primarily to discuss the status of Project Phoenix. Reporter Heather Clisby has details…
Tonight’s Planning Commission meeting in Twentynine Palms will review of the Project Phoenix Site Plan while taking public comment on the city’s longstanding redevelopment project. Ultimately, the commission is likely to adopt a Mitigated Negative Declaration, which means that the project poses no environmental damage risks after an assessment. It’s another green light for Project Phoenix on the road to completion.
Also on the agenda is a request from the Southern California Vipassana Center for an alternative road base. The meditation center is located just off Highway 62 at the western end of the city.
