The Twentynine Palms Planning Commission will meet this evening to host two public hearings regarding an application for a vacation home rental and another for a Conditional Use Permit. Reporter Heather Clisby has details…
Tonight, the Twentynine Palms Planning Commission gathers to host two public hearings. The first is to consider an application for appeal of a pending vacation home rental (VHR) permit. Last month, an application was submitted for a VHR located at 72994 Homestead Drive and less than two weeks later, an appeal to deny that application was submitted by neighbors concerned about child safety, noise, parking and an increase in traffic.
The next public hearing regards the approval of an amendment to a Conditional Use Permit for the Spirit and Truth Worship Center Church at 4751 Adobe Road. The amendment would reduce the buildings’ square footage from 8,942 square feet to 4,270 square feet and would eliminate 42 proposed parking spaces and the proposed retention basin on the east side of the property.
The meeting begins at 5 p.m. at City Hall, 6136 Adobe Road, and can be viewed on-demand on the city’s website, 29palms.org. Residents can also livestream the event from the site.
