TWENTYNINE PALMS PLANNING COMMISSION FINES VHR OWNER, GRANTS MORE VHR PERMITS TUESDAY

The Twentynine Palms Planning Commission held their regular meeting Tuesday night (August 17) to discuss vacation home rental permits. The commission first reviewed requests to revoke two VHR permits in the 6600 block of Adobe Road in response to the owner removing required VHR signs at both locations. The commission ultimately denied revoking the permits, opting instead to issue fines of $250 per property ($500 total) to the owner. The commission then approved four additional vacation home rental permit requests and appointed commissioners Max Walker and Jim Krushat to a Vacation Home Rental ad hoc committee.
