TWENTYNINE PALMS PLANNING COMMISSION APPROVES LIQUOR LICENSE FOR DOLLAR GENERAL

The Twentynine Palms Planning Commission approved a request Tuesday by Dollar General to sell liquor in the store. There were no objections to the new license. Currently, customers can buy beer and wine at the store in the 72000 block of Twentynine Palms Highway near Datura Avenue. The booze will have to be consumed off site rather than at the store itself. Currently the Dollar General holds one of four off-site liquor licenses issued in its immediate area.
