Twentynine Palms PAAC offering internship, application due 9/15

Do you plan to become a professional artist? The Twentynine Palms Public Arts Advisory Committee (PAAC) is offering an opportunity to learn from professional artists working in the visual arts, performance, dance, and more.

Workshop29 is a free arts workshop series launching  in Twentynine Palms in mid-October with a dance and ecology workshop led by Emmy winning choreographer Ryan Heffington. In the following months there will be an inclusive storytelling workshop, a voting activism workshop in early 2024; and “biospheric” interdisciplinary sculpture artists.

Interns will spend time with Workshop29 artists in their studios and workspaces as well as assist those artists in the presentation of their workshops.

Mentees / interns receive an honorarium in addition to gaining behind-the-scenes experience in the arts and in arts organizing. An apprenticeship with Workshop29 videographer Peter O’Leary is also available. Applications are due Friday, September 15th.
