TWENTYNINE PALMS MOVER ARRESTED

An employee of a moving company was arrested Thursday, accused of stealing from the customer he was packing for a move. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies were called to a residence on Copper Drive on board the Combat Center in Twentynine Palms about 10:30 Thursday morning. A supervisor at the scene had noticed that Thomas Snover, 44, of Twentynine Palms, was under the influence and was not working, and fired him on the spot, at which time Snover left. The military police then received several reports of a man, identified as Snover, standing on Del Valle Road near the main gate and saluting vehicles. The MPs contacted Snover, and found .45-caliber ammunition, a knife, sunglasses, and an iPhone charger in his possession, which were later determined to be stolen from the Marine whose possessions he had been packing. Snover denied stealing the items. Thomas Snover was arrested for investigation of being a felon in possession of ammunition, booked at the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $35,000.
