TWENTYNINE PALMS MAYOR GIVES STATE OF THE CITY AT YUCCA VALLEY EVENT LAST WEEK

Public safety and parks and recreation are the top two priorities of the City of Twentynine Palms. But Mayor Joel Klink told about 200 people at last week’s state of the Morongo Basin that in Twentynine Palms, infrastructure hasn’t been forgotten either. Klink then listed some of the projects recently completed, under construction, or in the planning stages, such as new curbs, sidewalks, and gutters downtown, a traffic light at Lear Avenue, and Project Phoenix to renovate downtown. He closed his update with inspiration: “I am a Green Bay Packers fan. I would like to leave with a quote from Vince Lombardi. People who work together, win.”
