A Marine in Twentynine Palms is under quarantine waiting for results of a Coronavirus test. Officials aboard the Twentynine Palms Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center have confirmed a Marine who recently returned from deployment oversees is in isolation at the Robert E. Bush Naval Hospital. According to Chief Warrant Officer 2 Bobbie A. Curtis, the unidentified Marine is awaiting test results per guidance from the Center for Disease control. Base Public Affairs Officer, Captain Nicole Plymale said “We have no confirmed cases of COVID-19 infection in the MCAGCC community. We have applied standard Public Health and Force Protection measures recommended by Navy Medicine and the Navy and Marine Corps Public Health Center to protect our personnel. We also continue to implement CDC guidelines for general community protection and maintain close contact with local health officials to prevent the spread of COVID-19.”
