A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Friday after a deputy saw him walking in the street with a syringe and weapon. Just before 8 p.m., a deputy on patrol saw Jake Kennedy, 27, walking on Persia Avenue with a syringe tucked behind his ear. Kennedy is on parole, and during a search of Kennedy, the deputy found in Kennedy’s pocket a metal rod sharpened at one end with a handle on the other. Jake Kennedy was arrested for investigation of possession of a weapon, and for violating the terms of his parole, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $25,000. The deputy’s report states that Kennedy refused to sign a gang card, but admitted to being a skinhead in good standing.
