TWENTYNINE PALMS MAN WHO WANTS JUDGE JUDY TRIAL ACCUSED OF WITNESS TAMPERING

A Twentynine Palms man who wanted his small claims case to be heard by Judge Judy was arrested Wednesday, accused of witness tampering. According to a Sheriff’s report, Daniel Siple, 58, went to a home in the 72100 block of Sullivan Road in Twentynine Palms about 1 p.m. and asked the victim to drop the charges against him so they could be on the Judge Judy TV show. Court records show that Siple is being sued in small claims court for squatting on the property, damaging the property, and not paying for rent or utilities. On Wednesday, a witness said that Siple broke down the door and was threatening to shoot the residents. After an investigation, Daniel Siple was arrested on suspicion of dissuading a witness, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
