We have limited information about a Twentynine Palms man who was arrested Wednesday, accused of attempting to threaten a witness. Deputies were called to the 74900 block of Serrano Drive in Twentynine Palms about 1 p.m. for a call listed as “an escape,” which generally means violating the rules about home detention or GPS monitoring. When deputies arrived, they located Thomas Higgins, 35, at another home a few doors away. Higgins is on felony probation. Deputies arrested Thomas Higgins for investigation of dissuading a witness, making criminal threats, and vehicle theft. He was booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $50,000.
