TWENTYNINE PALMS MAN THROWN FROM JEEP, HOSPITALIZED

A Twentynine Palms Marine was injured when he was thrown from a Jeep he was riding Friday evening. According to a Sheriff’s report, Michael Klouchek, 24, was driving a Jeep on a dirt road near Encelia and Laura Lane when the Jeep hit a dirt berm and he was thrown from the vehicle. The report states Klouchek was not wearing his seatbelt. After the Jeep drove through a chainlink fence, his girlfriend in the passenger seat and applied the emergency brake to stop the vehicle. She then drove it to the 5600 block of Bailey Avenue to get help. Michael Klouchek was flown to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs.
