TWENTYNINE PALMS MAN THREATENS PARENTS WITH A BONG

A Twentynine Palms man who became irate because his parents told him to pick up his mess was arrested Thursday, after he tried to beat them up. Deputies were called to the 71500 block of Cactus Drive in Twentynine Palms about 11:45 a.m. Thursday. Jeremy Mason, 30, didn’t like it when his father told him to pick up his mess. Mason is accused of picking up a broken glass bong and threatening to hit his mother and father with it. They said Mason also told them he was going to stab them and burn their bodies, and he threw tools and other items at them as they tried to run outside. His mother sustained a small cut to her foot from one of the objects thrown at her. Jeremy Mason was arrested for investigation of assault with a weapon, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $50,000.
