TWENTYNINE PALMS MAN SHOOTS GUN, MAKES THREATS, TAKEN INTO CUSTODY

A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Tuesday, after witnesses said he threatened and shot at people with a gun. According to a Sheriff’s report, Brian Huff, 20, was arguing with people on the highway near Desert Queen Avenue in Twentynine Palms about 5:30 p.m. A witness said Huff waved a handgun at the people, and then put it back in his waistband, before running east on the highway. Huff also allegedly dropped some unknown items along the way, and fired a shot over the witness’s head, which struck something metal. Huff was located a few minutes later near Cholla Avenue and Verbena Drive where he was arrested on suspicion of making terrorist threats, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
