A Twentynine Palms man who kicked his dog down the stairs Saturday afternoon was arrested, accused of cruelty to animals. According to a Sheriff’s report, Cary Gross, 24, of the 74400 block of Joe Davis Drive, was arguing with his wife, who is three months pregnant, about 2 p.m. Saturday. The wife told deputies Gross threw the dog down the stairs, and that she was afraid of him. The report states the dog stumbled around for a minute, then hid under the kitchen table, but was not injured. Cary Gross was arrested for investigation of cruelty to animals, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, and released in the early morning hours Sunday.
