A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Sunday on multiple charges after he threatened his children’s mother. Just before midnight last Thursday, deputies say Tyquion Burtton, 22, went to a home in the 72900 block of El Paseo in Twentynine Palms to get his phone charger, in violation of a restraining order. The victim said Burtton became upset over their break-up, grabbed her wrist and face and pinned her against the door. She also said he grabbed a kitchen knife and threatened her life. When she tried to dial 911, he broke her phone. Burtton was gone when deputies arrived, but he was located about 7 p.m. Sunday near Mesquite Springs Road and Highway 62. Tyquion Burtton was arrested for investigation of witness tampering, making criminal threats, robbery, and burglary, booked into West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $550,000.
